When I said I was going to talk about Pizza Hut I really meant it. I spend forty hours there every week and unfortuantly it's like my second home. Well if my home contained a twenty foot by twent foot freezer and a triple decker oven.
But anyway i just recently got the distinct pleasure of spending all of labr day weekend there.
At first my weekend was going alright I was driving around with the windows down, the radio blasting and my shades on. Everything is going good one minute and then the next I realize there's a giant sign announcing Pizza Hut on my roof and a pizza on my passenger seat.
Pizza Hut really isn't that bad. I mean that's how i pay my way through college and how i make my car payments. I love the people I work with. And getting paid to drive around really is not a bad gig. I do hate it though when people think that getting their pizza delivered is a gift to them. They don't realize that we have to spend our own money for our gas and when something goes wrong with our cars we ahve to pay to fix it. Not pizza hut. So tipping a couple dollars is not bad. You don't have to waste your gas and time to come get it so why not tip us a couple of dollars to do it for you?

  1. I have never thought about the pizza hut drivers and their tips. I haven't had the pleasure of haveing a pizza delivered to me that often because I grew up in Hecker and there are no pizza huts that would deliver that far. I moved to Chester my junior year of high school. As dorky as it is you have no idea how excited me and my younger siblings were to have a pizza delivered to our house. Mind you we lived like 2 mins from pizza hut if that but we were so pumped about living close enough to be able to have it delivered. I didn't pay for the pizza so I have no idea if the driver got tipped but I don't think I would have thought to tip the driver I know I'm a horrible person right?! Sorry! So I think this was a good blog there are probably other people out there that wouldnt think about it either. By the way the Chester pizza hut closed like a month after I moved here so that was the only pizza I ever got delived to my house. But if I ever get to experience that luxury again I will definately remember to tip the driver. Good blog!

  2. I second this post. People definitely need to start tipping us. I got a car thats been broken for 4 months and no way to fix it, but that money goes by fast in our gas tanks. Figured I'd comment one here, just so I could say I commented on someone's blog and so I could be all excited cause "I GET TO READ LESLIE'S BLOG!!!!" Hah

  3. Pizza Hut needs to deliver to more people. I work at Nobbes right outside of Waterloo and they will not deliver to us. I mean come on we are a business. When we order delivery we all place in a tip. So the tip is pretty large. So why not deliver to a business if they are going to “tip big”. Leslie you have came along way from when you just started back in high school. I can not believe that you are a manager and yes you do live at pizza hut. If someone can not find you at home you are always there.

  4. I'd rather drive to pick up my pizza from Pizza Hut. I agree with the whole you guys are wasting your gas and using your cars that are maybe not up to amazing standards. The issue I have with The Hut is that they charge $2.50 for delivery fee, and if other people are like me then they don't want to pay that. I'd rather take that extra they are charging me and give it to you.

  5. In all honesty, we get about a dollar of the 2.50 they charge us to deliver. Plus, we don't get to decide where we deliver to, that's all up to the big-wigs. The farther away we have to go, the less time we get in the store, and the fewer deliveries we can take. It sucks when you spend as much time on one delivery that somoene else spends on two and you're missing out. It would be nice if we delivered to more places tho. Red Bud Pizza Hut is willing to deliever to Ruma, but they won't go just as far out in the opposite direction. Some of it just doesn't make sense.
